Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant, based in Mumbai. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with payroll. The role also includes handling tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the senior accountant with various accounting duties.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial record-keeping, and reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Ability to process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and assist with payroll
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in the packaging industry is a plus
