Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team, dedicated to providing bookkeeping services to our clients based in Australia. This is an onsite role in our Surat office. The ideal candidate will have basic hands-on experience in bookkeeping, with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for Australian clients.
- Process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure timely completion of month-end processes.
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory compliance as per Australian regulations.
- Assist with BAS (Business Activity Statement) and GST (Goods and Services Tax) submissions.
- Prepare financial reports and support audit processes as required.
- Collaborate with team members and clients, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Basic bookkeeping experience, preferably with exposure to Australian clients or markets.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero and MYOB).
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work onsite in our Surat office.
