Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electric motors and gearboxes as per drawings and work instructions
  • Fit and align shafts, bearings, gears, housings, and couplings
  • Perform motor winding assembly, rotor–stator fitting, and end-shield assembly
  • Assemble gearboxes including gear trains, seals, and lubrication systems
  • Ensure proper tolerances, alignment, and torque specifications
  • Conduct functional checks, run tests, and noise/vibration inspections

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in motor assembly or gearbox assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, and tolerances
  • Experience with bearings, gears, shafts, and seals
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade
  • Experience in industrial motors, gear motors, or transmission systems
  • Knowledge of electrical basics related to motor assembly
  • Exposure to quality systems (ISO, 5S, TPM)
