Assembly Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize assembly processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to create assembly procedures and work instructions for new products.
• Analyze assembly operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Select and integrate appropriate assembly equipment and tools.
• Provide technical support to assembly teams and troubleshoot assembly issues as they arise.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects, collaborate with quality control teams, and implement corrective actions.
• Work with supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components for assembly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Train assembly personnel on new processes, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assist in product design reviews to ensure that products are designed for efficient assembly.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in assembly engineering or a related field, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
• Familiarity with assembly techniques, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or PLM systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of automation and robotics in the assembly process is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, including engineering, production, and quality.
