Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an Assembly Engineer to build, test, and commission custom-built special purpose machines. You will work from design drawings, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and make sure machines are delivered on time and to quality. You will learn on the job under experienced team leads.

Key Responsibilities

•     Read and interpret part, assembly, and GA drawings.

•     Verify the ERP BOM against the design BOM and flag mismatches.

•     Receive materials, update the issue sheet, and send parts for coating.

•     Inspect standard and bought-out items (LM guides, ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, servo motors, pneumatic components) for specification and quantity.

•     Carry out sub-assembly and complete machine assembly with the required alignment and fitment accuracy.

•     Test in manual and auto modes, and diagnose and resolve issues.

•     Update test charts and the PREMQ1 checklist.

•     Support FAT/SAT and customer-site commissioning.

•     Review, update, and close MOM, MQ1, and MQ2 points.

•     Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Purchase and Vendors (materials), Rework team (non-conformance), Design team (clarifications), Design Clinic (ECN/modifications), and Project Management (customer inputs and delays).

Skills Required

•     Basic knowledge of fits and tolerances, GD&T, and pneumatic circuit reading

•     Familiarity with dial gauges, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments

•     Willingness to learn, take ownership of tasks, and work in a team

•     Clear reporting and communication
