Job Description

Job Summary

The ASRS Engineering Executive will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) within Hindustan Unilevers facilities. This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of automated warehousing equipment, minimizing downtime and supporting overall supply chain productivity.

Job Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ASRS equipment, including cranes, conveyors, robots, and control systems.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues affecting ASRS operations.

Conduct regular inspections and calibration of ASRS components to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

Collaborate with production, logistics, and IT teams to identify and implement improvements in ASRS efficiency and reliability.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance data.

Participate in the commissioning and integration of new ASRS systems or upgrades.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on ASRS equipment.

Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or operational staff as required.

Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to prevent costly downtime.

Contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and best practices.

Job Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

3-7 years of experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) or similar automated material handling equipment.

Strong understanding of PLC programming (e. g. , Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and industrial control systems.

Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Experience with robotics and vision systems is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Willingness to work in shifts and on-call as required to support 24/7 operations.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial automation.
