The candidate will be responsible for managing contract Engineering/ Data Specifying for Modernization/ Partial Modernizations of the Elevator. The Engineer should preferably have a good working knowledge of basic elevator systems. The Engineer is responsible for the delivery of excellent, customer focused, value for money services and a strong working knowledge of all industry standards / practices as well as the company's products and services.
Primary responsibilities:
Support the product data management, reference document generation, support to design & documentation of elevator components.
Support deployment of new products and components.
Specifying standard products and contract specific modifications to standard base products with bills of material to meet customer needs.
Creating and releasing data to traditional contracts (customer orders), including changes drawing/ data where required.
Support maintenance of engineering database current in co-ordination with other members of department.
Support the quality systems related to contract engineering functions.
Promote and support the Continuous Improvement Process within area of responsibility and across other SPC functions.
Support manufacturing teams for all products and components.
Perform specific tasks as assigned by the department head from time to time based on organization need.
Perform all JDE/ERP related activities of Contract Engineering
Support new product deployment.
Follow EH&S ruler & regulations of OTIS & implement EH&S programs & activities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Electrical engineering
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6 years of experience in a Elevator OR large-scale engineering industry.
ANY OTHER KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES IF REQUIRES
Good Communication skill.
Deductive reasoning along with communication and analytical skills.
Knowledge in computer aided design drafting software is essential.
Knowledge of electrical system/component design.
Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
