Position Title: Technical Sales Support Spare Parts Executive

Department: TSS & Key Account (KSB SupremeServ)

Reports To: Manager

Major Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries from Zonal Offices (ZOs), Branch Offices (BOs), and customers for spare parts of pumps, under the guidance of the Department Head or team members.
  • Select appropriate spare parts from the KSB product range based on specifications and prepare techno-commercial offers, including comments and deviations.
  • Coordinate with sub-vendors for bought-out components such as mechanical seals, couplings, strainers, motors, and other accessories.
  • Promote spare parts sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare spare parts price lists and generate data to ensure quick processing of inquiries.
  • Coordinate the entire sales order process for imported traded sparesfrom order booking to completion.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for imported traded spares.
  • Conduct contract reviews for received orders and maintain the quotation register.

Work Performed

  • Regular customer visits to generate leads, with a focus on installed base to drive spare parts business.
  • Study inquiries and coordinate with the TSS department for timely offer submissions.
  • Follow up on quotations with the BO team and customers to close deals.
  • Organize and participate in product/sales promotions through seminars and exhibitions.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activities and trends.

Work Contacts

  • Internal: Superiors, BOs, ZOs, Product Management, Project Support, QA, Technical Order Processing, Assembly & Testing, Customer Service, Commercial Management, Purchase, Production, Marketing Services, Credit Control.
  • External: Customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Independence of Operation

  • Expected to work independently using available techno-commercial data and established guidelines.
  • Techno-commercial decisions to be made in consultation with the Department Head.

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Strong product and application knowledge, especially in centrifugal pumps.
  • Sound commercial understanding.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Effective presentation and analytical skills.

Physical Efforts

  • Traveling as & when required.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal hours to meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily desk work with moderate field visit.
  • Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
