Asian University for Women

Asian University for Women (AUW) invites applications for its Teaching Fellows Program, a year-long opportunity for recent graduates to gain meaningful teaching experience while contributing to AUW's mission of expanding access to higher education for talented women across Asia and the Middle East.

AUW recruits students from diverse backgrounds, with particular emphasis on women from underserved and displaced communities, including garment workers, Rohingya refugees, tea plantation workers, and students from Afghanistan. Many students enter AUW through its Pre-Undergraduate Programs, which provide intensive academic preparation to build the skills and confidence needed to succeed at the undergraduate level.

Teaching Fellows play an integral role in these programs, teaching English, mathematics, or computer science and contributing to the wider intellectual and extracurricular life of the University. Fellows serve for one academic year and supervise one extracurricular activity each term.

The Fellowship offers recent graduates the opportunity to develop their skills as educators, work closely with students from across the region, and become part of AUW's diverse international community. Fellows gain hands-on classroom experience while living and working in Chittagong, Bangladesh, and engaging with the communities and cultures represented at AUW.

AUW welcomes applications from recent graduates of liberal arts colleges and universities with strong academic and extracurricular records, a commitment to teaching, and an interest in advancing women's education. The next cohort of Teaching Fellows will arrive in early July 2027.
