Technical/Functional Skills

Required Skills:

Minimum 6 to 8 years experience in AS400 technology

Good knowledge of DB2, RPG, RPGLE, CLLE and free format (RPG Free)

Experience of using IFS (File sharing) and FTP in AS400

Good oral and written communication skills (English/Spanish both)

Have prior exposure of enhancement projects and be able to coordinate with multiple teams

Desired Skills:

Exposure to MAPICS application

Knowledge of MKS implementer (version maintenance tool)

Experience Required

6-10 yrs.

Roles & Responsibilities

Requirement analysis for System design

Preparing the Data flow Diagrams, System Requirement Specifications, Structure chart, ERD.

Study the existing system

Understanding the technical issues involved in the MAPICS environment

Understanding the business requirements of Eaton

Migrating the codes through various environments

Impact analysis and source code review

Ensuring error free code migration across various instances

Analyzing spool for logging defects

Understanding of the objectives of the reports needed by Eaton for business purpose

Generating codes for enhancements

Managing the change requests

Resolving incidents and requests per SLA

Prepare techno functional specifications

Data load and create Unit test specifications for unit testing
