AS400 RPG Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for skilled AS400 RPG Developers with strong hands-on experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 technologies. The ideal candidate should have expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL programming, and DB2/400 database development. The role involves development, enhancement, maintenance, and production support of enterprise AS400 applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support applications on AS400 / IBM i platform.
- Work on RPG, RPGLE, CL/CLLE programming and enhancements.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Handle production support issues and batch job monitoring.
- Develop and maintain DB2/400 database objects and queries.
- Coordinate with functional teams and business users for issue resolution.
- Participate in application modernization and support activities.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in:
- AS400 / IBM iSeries
- RPG / RPG III / RPG IV
- RPGLE
- CL / CLLE
- DB2/400
- Good understanding of AS400 architecture and job scheduling.
- Experience in application support and maintenance projects.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in production support environment.
- Exposure to Synon, COBOL, or Query/400 is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of AS400 modernization projects preferred.
- Experience working in Banking, Manufacturing, or Retail domains is a plus.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Notice Period
Immediate to 60 Days preferred.
