Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Role Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced AS400 IBM i Developer with strong MQ Series integration expertise to design develop enhance and support enterprise applications
  • The role focuses on delivering high performance reliable and scalable solutions while ensuring seamless integration between AS400 and distributed systems
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Design develop maintain and optimize applications on AS400 IBM i platforms
  • Implement and support MQ Series integrations including queues channels and message flows
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and scalable solutions
  • Conduct impact analysis code reviews unit testing debugging and performance tuning
  • Support batch and online processes ensuring system stability and high availability
  • Collaborate with architects business analysts QA and operations teams for end to end delivery
  • Provide production support incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Maintain technical documentation standards and best practices
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to planning estimation and status reporting
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree MTech Btech MCA BCA in a relevant discipline
  • 5 9 years of hands on experience with AS400 IBM i in enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in AS400 development maintenance and production support
  • Proven experience with MQ Series based integrations
  • Strong analytical communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modernization or migration initiatives
  • Expertise in high availability MQ architectures and performance tuning
  • Exposure to Agile or structured SDLC environments and IBM i deployment processes

Preferred Skills:

Technology->AS/400 technologies->MQ Series with AS400
