Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AS400 / IBM iSeries Administrator to manage, maintain, and support IBM Power Systems environments. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, backups, security, and performance optimization of IBM iSeries (AS400) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IBM iSeries / AS400 environments
• Monitor system performance, jobs, storage, and backups
• Manage user profiles, system security, and access controls
• Handle system upgrades, PTF installations, and patch management
• Troubleshoot system, application, and connectivity issues
• Support HA/DR activities and system recovery processes
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams
• Monitor batch jobs and ensure smooth system operations
• Perform system health checks and capacity planning
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 administration
• Knowledge of IBM Power Systems
• Experience with:
• CL commands
• Job scheduling
• Backup & recovery
• Performance tuning
• System monitoring
• Good understanding of DB2/400
• Experience with security and user management
• Exposure to HA/DR solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good to Have

• Experience with ERP environments on AS400
• Exposure to RPG/RPGLE applications
• Integration support experience
• Knowledge of automation and monitoring tools

Preferred Experience

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting production enterprise environments
