Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to take on the role of AES - Application Modernization - Core Skills - AS400. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of developers, ensuring the successful development, support, and maintenance of complex project modules. Your expertise in AS400, ILE, and related technologies will be crucial in driving our projects forward. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our organization's success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of junior developers, providing coaching and mentorship.
- Oversee the development, support, and maintenance of complex project modules.
- Apply standard software development principles, including Agile methodologies, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Utilize AS400, ILE concept, Free Format (RPGILE), Cobol, and Db2 to develop and enhance applications.
- AI , Azure knowledge with certification
- Implement web services and integrate them into the overall system architecture.
- Analyze and solve complex technical problems, providing innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in the AS400 domain.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-9 years of experience as an AS-400 Senior Developer .
- Solid expertise in AS400, ILE concept, Free Format (RPGILE), Cobol, and Db2.IBMI System Knowledge , Azure & AI hands on experience, debugging skill
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of scrum and ADO, with experience in Azure.
- Experience in application development and a deep understanding of software development principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certifications in Azure and AI are preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- A strong desire to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
