Job Description
We are looking for an experienced AS/400 (IBM i) Application Developer with strong hands-on expertise in application development and support. The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support applications on AS/400 (IBM i) platform.
- Work extensively on application programming, development, and production support.
- Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues independently.
- Participate in business requirement gathering, system impact analysis, and technical design.
- Support system testing, integration testing, and UAT activities.
- Handle pre-implementation production deployment and provide post-deployment production support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and resolve critical issues within defined timelines.
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- AS/400 (IBM i) application development & support 7+ years
- Programming Languages:
- RPG, RPGLE
- CLP, CLLE
- SQL/400, Query/400
- DB2
- Strong experience in ILE / Free Format, Procedures, Service Programs
- Experience with integration touchpoints with other applications
