As400 Developer -F2F Interview

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced AS/400 (IBM iSeries) System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our iSeries systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in AS/400 operations, system administration, backup/recovery procedures, and security management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems.
• Execute job control, batch scheduling, and automation using iSeries command language (CL).
• Administer system security, user profiles, access rights, and monitor system performance.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Apply PTFs, manage OS upgrades, and maintain system integrity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues related to AS/400 systems.
• Document processes, procedures, and system changes.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless system integration and operation.

Qualifications:

• 57 years of experience in AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries/AS400 operating systems, hardware, and networking.
• Proficiency in iSeries command language (CL) and scripting/automation.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with system security, monitoring tools, and PTF management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
