Job Description

The Studio Artist is responsible for the preparation and refinement of creative materials including preparing electronic layouts for print, web deliverables, slide presentation media and digital.

  • Performs general administrative duties and projects as assigned by the Studio Manager or Director.
  • Makes corrections to layouts (art and copy) as indicated by brand team or client.
  • Reviews corrected pages for accuracy and completeness of corrections.
  • Provides composite artwork utilizing Photoshop and/or Illustrator or other current software.
  • Works with Creative and Production to translate specifications into production artwork.
  • Adheres to and monitors agency guidelines related to file naming, file and folder management, scanning, mechanical builds, prepressing, disk prep, back-up/archiving, and un-archiving of digital files.
  • Keeps Studio Manager informed when said guidelines are not being followed.
  • Prepares mechanical and/or prepress files correctly, applying knowledge of commercial printing to the construction of these electronic files, as well as troubleshooting documents as necessary.
  • Releases perfect, print-ready files as specified.
  • Creates and QAs interactive PDFs including form fields, hyperlinks,media insertion, and buttons.
  • Develops and retains brand knowledge (colors, logos,master artwork, style, etc.) of products at the agency and a working knowledge of client process and procedures.
  • Demonstrates high level of digital efficiency,is familiar with the equipment owned by the agency, manages time effectively, meets deadlines, and pays close attention to detail.
  • Assists in developing brand guidelines with Art Directors (colors, logos, master artwork, style) when called upon to do so.
  • Prepares comps, boards, and material for presentations to internal as well as external clients.
