Artificial Intelligence Intern

Location: Kolkata | Mumbai

Duration: 6 Months

The AI Intern will work with Department Heads and business teams to identify business challenges and develop practical AI, data and automation solutions. This is an execution-focused role, with an expectation to deliver at least one demonstrable solution during the internship.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and priorities AI/automation use cases with business stakeholders.
• Convert business problems into practical AI solution concepts.
• Build proof-of-concepts using Python, SQL, ML libraries and LLM APIs.
• Work on use cases such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, document processing, summarization and Generative AI.
• Extract, clean and analyze data and develop dashboards/visualisations.
• Test solutions with users, incorporate feedback and improve prototypes.
• Document solutions and conduct demonstrations/knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Contribute reusable code, prompts and learnings to the AI knowledge repository.
• Follow data privacy, information security and Responsible AI guidelines.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong Python skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
• Understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.
• Exposure to LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of Git, Jupyter and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• RAG, vector databases, LangChain or AI agent frameworks.
• Tableau/Power BI.
• Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Flask, FastAPI or Streamlit.

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled in 7th semester of B.Tech.
• Minimum aggregate: [Insert CGPA / Percentage].
• No active backlogs.
• Available for an uninterrupted 6-month internship.
• Institutional approval where required.

Students who combine strong technical skills with business curiosity and enjoy building practical AI solutions. Projects in AI/ML, GenAI, Data Analytics, NLP, Computer Vision or Business Intelligence will be an advantage.
