Artificial Intelligence Engineering Lead

About this role:

• This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not just managing projects

• Must actively drive architecture decisions, establish AI engineering standards, mentor engineers, challenge conventional thinking, and continually raise the technical bar

• Has a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions

• Deep expertise across Generative AI, Machine Learning, Agentic AI frameworks, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and modern AI application development

• Must be deeply engaged with the AI ecosystem — actively evaluating emerging models, frameworks, tools, research, and engineering practices, and bringing those innovations into the org to create measurable business value (not just generally aware of trends).

• Should define the offshore AI Engineering Center of Excellence (COE), working closely with counterpart in US and Delivery teams from India

• Candidate should be actively leading a team of 10+ AI engineers in his latest / current role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade AI applications using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI frameworks, and Machine Learning technologies.

• Drive architecture decisions and establish AI engineering standards to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance AI solutions.

Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing offshore AI Engineering team while fostering technical excellence and engineering discipline.

• Design and implement AI agents, chatbots, intelligent automation solutions, and predictive models for enterprise customers and internal stakeholders.

• Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging AI models, frameworks, engineering tools, and best practices that create measurable business value.

• Promote AI-assisted software development, reusable AI platforms, and engineering accelerators to improve productivity and delivery efficiency.

• Challenge conventional engineering approaches by introducing innovative AI architectures, modern frameworks, and reusable solution patterns.

• Partner closely with US leadership team to establish and expand the offshore AI Engineering Center of Excellence (COE).

• Stay actively engaged with the AI ecosystem through research, conferences, technical communities, and open-source initiatives to drive continuous innovation.

• Mentor AI engineers through architecture reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions while developing future.

Required Experience:

• 12+ years in Software Engineering with significant AI experience.

• Experience leading at least team of 10 - AI Engineers in a large organization.

• Expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, AI orchestration and ML.

• Experience delivering enterprise AI solutions.

• Strong architecture, communication, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.

• Passion for continuous learning, experimentation and innovation.
