Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Essential Capabilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Agentic AI solutions, applying technical expertise in automation and intelligent systems to deliver impactful business outcomes.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to engineering squads, ensuring the adoption of industry-leading AI frameworks and best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and promoting ethical AI practices that align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising the contributions of others to ensure the achievement of team goals.
• Demonstrate and provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position

Experience:

• 9+ years Technology experience in application development roles
• Extensive experience in architecting and delivering AI-driven solutions, with a strong track record in agent-based technologies and automation.
• Deep understanding of AI engineering best practices and the ability to translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Proven leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams, driving engineering excellence, and nurturing a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Technical Domain expertise in Corporate & Institutional Banking.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders (product owners, engineers executives and other senior stakeholders)
• Experience as a technical lead providing mentorship to other technical staff
• Interest and experience with the entire application stack; from network, security, through platform OS to application code
• Design, build, test, and iterate on AI-assisted applications, tools, and accelerators.
• Apply AI tooling to day-to-day engineering tasks such as code generation, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and analysis.
