JD:

AI‑Led Data Engineer – Database Migration (Sybase to Microsoft SQL Server)

• Lead end‑to‑end database migration from Sybase (ASE/IQ) to MS SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Analyze existing schemas, stored procedures, triggers, jobs, and dependencies to define migration scope and complexity.
• Perform and optimize schema, data, and SQL code conversion (Sybase T‑SQL to SQL Server T‑SQL).
• Use AI/GenAI Agents to accelerate code conversion, dependency analysis, test case generation, and migration runbook creation.
• Design and execute data migration strategies (full load, incremental/CDC where applicable) with minimal downtime.
• Implement automated data validation and reconciliation (row counts, checksums, aggregates, business rules).
• Tune SQL Server performance post‑migration (indexes, query plans, statistics, tempdb, concurrency).
• Automate migration workflows using Python/PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, and repeatable scripts.
• Collaborate with application, QA, and infra teams during UAT, cutover, and hypercare phases.
• Produce clear migration documentation: mapping specs, technical designs, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Ensure security, compliance, backup, and rollback readiness before production cutover.
