ELIYA is a Zurich-based AI and data science lab dedicated to empowering marketing teams through customized AI and automation systems. The team, composed of PhDs, data scientists, and AI engineers, specializes in developing bespoke solutions to tackle unique and complex business challenges.
We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI-driven workflow solutions. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to build scalable systems end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy agentic workflows that automate complex, real-world business processes
- Build and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI, and WebSockets
- Architect robust data flows, authentication systems, and validation layers
- Collaborate across teams to deliver production-ready solutions following SDLC best practices
- Work with cloud platforms and containerized environments to ensure scalable deployments
- Optimize and debug systems to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and WebSocket-based architectures
- Experienced with building sequential workflows using agentic AI frameworks such as LlamaIndex, Langchain, AWS Strands, or Google ADK
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles including authentication, validation, and data management
- Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB Atlas and SQL-based systems
- Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks including scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and MLflow
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines via Github Actions, ETL processes, and end-to-end deployment workflows
- Practical experience with containerization and deployment using Docker over Cloud Platforms like Azure.
- Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Requestly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure services such as Key Vault, Blob Storage, File Storage, Cosmos DB, and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and coding environments like Github Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code.
