Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer (7+ years) to engage with our client who is a ticketing and event inventory platform focused on building AI-driven capabilities across pricing, inventory reconciliation, and natural-language shopping experiences. The role will work closely with the client's Retail Product Group Tech Lead and requires someone who can work independently, translate requirements into solutions, and move quickly with minimal handholding.

Overlap requirement: 2-4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time, for stand-ups and collaboration (Till 12 AM IST)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-driven dynamic pricing solutions for ticket inventory.
• Build solutions for event inventory mapping and reconciliation, enabling high-confidence matching of broker-supplied inventory against existing systems.
• Develop and implement fuzzy matching, entity resolution, and confidence-scored reconciliation approaches to ensure high levels of inventory matching accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of an agentic shopping experience, including natural-language interaction and shopping capabilities for ticket buyers.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the existing Microsoft .NET technology stack.
• Work with AWS Bedrock and Titan to develop and integrate AI capabilities, while remaining adaptable to other LLM and AI platforms such as Google Vertex AI and Hugging Face.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI coding tools, including Claude and OpenAI models, as part of the development workflow.
• Evaluate and adapt AI technologies and approaches based on evolving project requirements and the client's ongoing experimentation with different AI platforms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding — comfortable taking ownership of requirements and driving them to a solution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — will collaborate directly with the client's Retail Product Group Tech Lead

Must-Haves

• Strong .NET background with hands-on AI/ML integration experience
• Working experience with AWS Bedrock (or equivalent LLM platform experience, e.g. Vertex AI, given the transferable skillset)
• Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding - the client explicitly wants someone who can take the ball and run with it once given the requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - this was called out as a top priority, given the engineer will collaborate directly with the client's Retail product group tech lead
• Comfortable working offshore with 2-4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time
• Experience with inventory/data reconciliation or entity-matching systems
• Exposure to agentic AI frameworks or natural language interfaces
• Familiarity with Hugging Face or Google AI models
