Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Articleship role in Indirect Tax based in Gurugram. The role involves assisting in indirect tax compliance, including GST returns, reconciliations, and documentation, under supervision of senior team members. The articleship trainee will support in drafting tax computations, preparing working papers, and maintaining accurate records for client assignments. Daily responsibilities include conducting basic research on indirect tax laws and regulations, helping with indirect tax advisory notes, and supporting audit teams during reviews and assessments. The role also includes coordination with clients for data collection, responding to routine queries, and contributing to internal knowledge-building on indirect tax developments.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Tax, with a specific interest in Indirect Tax and GST.
  • Skills in Tax Planning and Tax Preparation for indirect tax matters.
  • Understanding of Tax Law relevant to indirect taxation and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of Finance and accounting principles supporting tax work.
  • Pursuing CA with completed relevant levels of examination, or equivalent professional qualification path.
  • Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools; prior internship exposure in tax or audit is an advantage.
