Role Description – Article Trainee
Lotus Feet Consulting LLP is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Article Trainee to join its on-site team in Gurugram. The trainee will work closely with Chartered Accountants and senior professionals to gain practical exposure to accounting, auditing, taxation, and statutory compliance.
The role offers hands-on learning opportunities across various client assignments, enabling the trainee to develop technical knowledge, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of professional practices within a Chartered Accountancy firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in maintaining books of accounts and performing accounting activities using software such as Tally Prime and Zo
ho Books.* Support GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GST reconciliations, and related documentation.
* Assist in income tax return preparation, tax computations, and related compliance activities.
* Support statutory audits, tax audits, financial statement preparation, and audit working papers.
* Assist with TDS compliance, reconciliations, and periodic return filings.
* Conduct financial data analysis, ledger scrutiny, and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and maintain client records, supporting documents, reports, and working papers.
* Assist with MCA and other statutory compliance requirements, as assigned.
* Coordinate with team members and clients to obtain information, track pending requirements, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
* Identify discrepancies, maintain accuracy in assigned work, and follow established review procedures.
* Maintain professional ethics, data confidentiality, and compliance with the firm's working standards.
Qualifications
* Pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) and eligible for articleship as per ICAI gu
idelines.* Strong interest in accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial compliance.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office applications.
* Familiarity with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or other accounting software is an advantage.
* Good analytical, research, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, andwork collaboratively with the team.
* Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
* High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
