Role Description The Article Trainee will support audit and assurance engagements, assist in tax return preparation, and help with compliance related to direct and indirect taxes. Day-to-day responsibilities include working on financial statements, documentation, working papers, and performing basic analytical reviews and reconciliations under supervision. The trainee will participate in field audits, interact with client teams to gather information, and help prepare reports and schedules for partners and managers. The role also involves learning and applying relevant accounting, auditing, and taxation standards, while maintaining organized records and meeting engagement timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation (direct and indirect) knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting/taxation software; ability to work with data, reconciliations, and schedules.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear workpapers and interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
  • Enrolment as an Article Trainee as per ICAI requirements (CA Intermediate/IPCC cleared as applicable) and commitment to completing the full articleship period.
  • Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, manage time effectively, and contribute positively in a team-oriented, high-performance environment.
  • Willingness to learn across multiple practice areas such as audit, taxation, advisory, and risk services; prior internship experience in a CA firm is an advantage.
