Job Description
The British School New Delhi is looking to appoint an experienced Art Teacher. The successful candidate will teach Art and Design to primary-aged students and contribute to a vibrant and engaging visual arts programme. The appointee should have the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support an arts curriculum that inspires creativity, curiosity and a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
The appointee will be an outstanding practitioner and teacher who is a graduate in Fine Arts with a recognised teaching qualification. Experience in teaching Art and Design within a primary school setting, preferably in an international school, is desirable. The post holder should have excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. Candidates with experience in online teaching will be preferred.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, with strong skills in curriculum planning, assessment and differentiation. They will foster creativity through a broad range of artistic media, integrate technology and cross-curricular learning opportunities, support students in reflecting on their artistic development, and contribute actively to exhibitions, school events and the wider life of the school.
