Position: Gallery Sales Assistant
The Designera is seeking an experienced Gallery Sales Assistant with a strong
background in art sales and a clear ability to close. This is a sales-led, target-driven role,
while remaining rooted in the gallery's curatorial vision and relationships with artists,
collectors, and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Actively sell works across exhibitions, inventory, and private sales
Build and grow a strong collector base (private clients, designers, corporate buyers)
Follow up strategically to convert interest into confirmed sales
Negotiate pricing and terms in line with gallery strategy
Client Relationships
Develop long-term, trusted relationships with collectors and advisors
Confidently host walk-ins, private viewings, and exhibition visitors
Maintain accurate client records and buying history
Gallery & Sales Operations
Prepare invoices, sales offers, and condition reports accurately
Coordinate shipping, framing, installation, and post-sale follow-ups
Track sales pipelines and report progress toward targets
Exhibitions & Events
Play an active sales role during exhibitions and openings
Represent The Designera professionally with artists, collectors, and partners
Support the commercial success of the exhibition programme
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in a gallery or art sales role
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Strong understanding of contemporary art and the art market
Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and results-drive
