About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Zonal Manager – Term Insurance to drive business growth and lead large-scale sales operations across Darbhanga and the assigned Bihar territory.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Term Insurance / Life Insurance sales, large-team management, multi-layer team handling, distribution, business development, and sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Term Insurance / Life Insurance business and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Manage 2–3 or more Team Leaders and their respective frontline sales teams.
- Lead an overall team structure of approximately 30–60+ members.
- Set sales targets and performance expectations for Team Leaders and frontline teams.
- Monitor team productivity, conversions, revenue, and overall business performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective action plans.
- Coach and mentor Team Leaders to improve productivity and target achievement.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market penetration.
- Expand distribution channels and identify new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with partners, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and regional opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Take complete ownership of zonal business performance, team productivity, and revenue growth.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Life Insurance / Term Insurance sales.
- 3+ years of team handling and people management experience.
- Proven experience managing large sales teams through multiple Team Leaders.
- Strong understanding of Term Insurance / Life Insurance products and distribution models.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business targets.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, business development, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of the Darbhanga / Bihar insurance market.
- Excellent English communication skills are mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience at Area Manager, Regional Manager, Area Zonal Manager, or Zonal Manager levels in Life Insurance / Term Insurance will be preferred.
The ideal candidate should have strong Bihar market knowledge, large-team leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth through multiple layers of sales teams.
