Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Area Supply Manager for our junior-level team. The position is full-time and based in Ambala, Delhi, and Indore. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing supply operations, optimizing fleet utilization, and coordinating logistics for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications And Skills
- Strong experience and comprehensive understanding of fleet management processes and optimization. (Mandatory skill)
- Proven expertise in freight forwarding operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods. (Mandatory skill)
- Hands-on knowledge in coordinating both short and long-haul logistics operations, ensuring delivery targets are consistently met.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage multiple vendors, focusing on contractual compliance and quality service delivery.
- Experience in advanced route planning techniques to minimize costs, optimize routes, and ensure on-time supply chain execution.
- Effective communication skills for seamless interaction with fleet operators, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve operational queries.
- Analytical mindset for monitoring operational metrics and making data-driven decisions to enhance supply chain performance.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records related to fleet, freight, and logistics operations for audit and compliance purposes.
Roles And Responsibilities
Responsible for managing fleet of 25-50 at micro-market levels and managing 5-10 freight promoters
On-board Freight Promoters and Owner-cum-drivers on the platform
Responsible for driving operations metrics (such as loading and unloading detention, PoD uploads etc.)
Train Freight Promoters in selling ancillary services
Manage monthly billing of vendors, Freight Promoters; Provide ad-hoc vehicles at lower-than mandi rates
- Ensuring 100% compliance with necessary documentation
