Role Overview:
The Area Manager / Senior Area Manager will be responsible for building and managing the agency distribution network within the assigned region. The role requires strong leadership capability to recruit insurance agents, drive business through the agency channel, and ensure consistent team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and develop insurance agents/advisors to expand the agency network.
- Drive business growth through the agency channel by ensuring agent activation and productivity.
- Identify and onboard potential agency leaders and strengthen the distribution network.
- Manage team performance and ensure achievement of business targets.
- Conduct regular training, mentoring, and field support for agents and team members.
- Build strong relationships in the local market to generate new business opportunities.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance to improve sales productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and General Insurance products.
- Proven experience in agency/channel sales and team handling.
- Able to handle a team size of 10–12 FLS.
- Ability to recruit agents and build a strong agency distribution network.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
