Job Description: Area Sales Manager (ASM) Corporate & Business Assets

Role: ASM cum Business Development Manager (Loans)

Territory: Mumbai & Pune Region (Maharashtra)

Products: Business Loans (Unsecured), Working Capital (OD/CC), LAP (Secured)

Experience: 612 Years in MSME/SME Lending

Reporting to: RSM of Sales / Director

Role Objective

To aggressively expand the loan book in the Mumbai-Pune corridor by sourcing high-value Working Capital and Secured Loan cases. The ASM will act as a financial consultant to business owners, ensuring end-to-end management from lead identification to fund disbursement.

Key Responsibilities

Market Penetration (The Maharashtra Strategy)

  • Industrial Clusters: Target SMEs/MSMEs in Pune's industrial belts (Chakan, Bhosari, Talegaon) and Mumbai's trading hubs (Vashi, Andheri, Kalbadevi).
  • Channel Mastery: Build a powerful network of ConnectorsChartered Accountants, Financial Consultants, and Industrial Association members.
  • Direct Acquisition: Identify high-growth businesses requiring capital for expansion, machinery purchase, or liquidity.

Team Building & Talent Mentorship

  • Recruitment & Structuring: Identify, interview, and onboard a high-performance team of Loan Officers and Sales Executives across the Maharashtra cluster.
  • Performance Coaching: Conduct weekly Power Sessions to train the team on financial statement analysis, objection handling, and lead conversion.
  • Succession Planning: Build a second line of leadership to ensure territory stability and scalability.

New Territory Establishment & Market Entry

  • Market Mapping: Conduct a Gap Analysis of the Mumbai-Pune corridor to identify untapped industrial pockets (e.g., expanding into Nashik or Aurangabad clusters once the core territory is stabilized).
  • Local Branding: Spearhead local marketing initiatives, such as Loan Melas or SME Seminars, to establish Yuvolt as the preferred lending partner in new zones.
  • Operational Setup: Oversee the logistics of remote operations in sub-territories, ensuring that reporting lines and communication channels remain seamless.

Strategic Revenue Growth & Target Accountability

  • Forecasting: Develop quarterly and annual sales forecasts for the Maharashtra region, aligning team efforts with the company's capital disbursement goals.
  • Pipeline Optimization: Move beyond lead generation to Pipeline Engineeringensuring a steady flow of various ticket sizes to avoid revenue fluctuations.
  • Yield Management: Focus on high-margin products (like Unsecured Business Loans) to balance the portfolio against lower-yield Secured Loans.

Institutional & Strategic Partnerships

  • Ecosystem Alliances: Form formal partnerships with Industrial Associations (like MCCIA Pune), Chambers of Commerce, and Export Councils to gain exclusive access to member databases.
  • Fintech & Aggregator Integration: Collaborate with local Fintech aggregators and digital platforms to automate lead flow into the territory.
  • Government Liaison: Navigate local MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) regulations and government schemes (like PMEGP or MSME subsidies) to offer value-added consulting to clients.

The Site Visit & Credit Assessment

  • Factory/Office Audits: Conduct physical site visits to assess the Business Intent. Evaluate stock levels, machinery condition, and office scale.
  • Financial Sifting: Analyze complex financial profilesBalance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and GST filings (GSTR-3B/GSTR-1).
  • LTV & Collateral: For Secured Loans, evaluate the suitability of the industrial/residential collateral based on Mumbai/Pune market rates.

Negotiation & Sanctioning

  • Working Capital Solutions: Pitch Cash Credit (CC) or Overdraft (OD) facilities against bank-fixed limits.
  • Closure: Manage the Sanction-to-Disbursement TAT (Turnaround Time). Resolve credit queries and ensure the client receives the funds seamlessly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Deep Financial Acumen: Ability to read between the lines of an Indian Balance Sheet.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Maharashtra industrial landscape (MIDC norms, local property registration laws).
  • Language: Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is mandatory for field success in this territory.
  • Remote Discipline: Proven track record of hitting targets without physical supervision.
