DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Area Sales Manager (HQ - Pune/Goa), for Laboratory consumables are single-use or short-lifecycle products essential for daily lab operations. Thermo Fisher positions consumables as a high-frequency, recurring-revenue backbone across research, clinical, and industrial labs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education & Experience:Master's degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or related scientific field plus 2-3 years or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant sales or laboratory Consumables or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills:Strong technical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex product applications and laboratory workflows.
  • Sales Execution & Target Attainment:Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue quotas through disciplined pipeline management, high-frequency field activity (averaging 5+ quality calls/day), and effective closing techniques.
  • Commercial Intelligence & Market Growth:Ability to proactively identify white space opportunities and competitor vulnerabilities within a territory to drive market share expansion and achieve high double-digit CAGR (e.g., 15-20%) over the strategic period.
  • Sales & Strategy:Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships, manage a territory effectively, and develop strategic account plans using strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Systems Proficiency:Exposure in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Work Environment:Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix environment.
  • Logistics & Travel:Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 30% within the assigned territory.
  • Language:Fluency in English is required regional language skills may be necessary based on territory needs.
