About the Role: The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving vehicle sales, managing dealership performance, leading the sales team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role demands a strong understanding of the automotive market, excellent leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with business goals.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across all vehicle models.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Set individual targets and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Motivate the team to exceed sales goals and maintain high morale.
- Dealer & Channel Management
- Coordinate with dealerships to optimize inventory and sales.
- Monitor dealer performance and provide strategic support.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and sales processes.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Track KPIs such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts for management.
- EV & Sustainability Focus (if applicable)
- Promote electric vehicle (EV) sales and educate customers on benefits.
- Collaborate with marketing on green initiatives and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Indian automotive market and consumer behavior.
