Summary
Smilephile Healthcare is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive growth for its flagship brand Absorbia across assigned territories. The role involves managing sales through a Super Stockist-driven distribution model, expanding market presence across districts, and building a high-performing frontline sales team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the diaper category (baby & adult), deep trade relationships, and proven capability in managing and scaling sales teams across surgical, wholesale, and semi-wholesale channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary and secondary sales and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets in the assigned area.
- Manage and expand the Super Stockist network across multiple districts, ensuring effective consignment movement and stock rotation.
- Recruit, train, manage, and motivate a team of Sales Officers (SO), Area Sales Executives (ASE), and Senior Sales Officers (SSO).
- Strengthen relationships with surgical distributors, wholesalers, semi-wholesalers, and key trade partners.
- Ensure effective market coverage, outlet expansion, and visibility execution for Absorbia products.
- Lead and execute go-to-market strategies, new product launches, and brand-building initiatives.
- Monitor collections, outstanding management, and credit discipline at distributor and trade levels.
- Coordinate closely with Super Stockists to ensure timely supply, optimal inventory levels, and product availability.
- Train field teams on product knowledge, competitive mapping, sales pitch, and hygiene category trends.
- Provide market feedback and inputs on pricing, schemes, promotions, and trade offers.
- Utilize mobile applications and CRM tools for sales tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring.
Experience & Skills Required
- 5+ years of sales experience in the diaper/hygiene category (baby and adult diapers).
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and leading a field sales team.
- Strong market relationships in Super Stockist sales model.
- Hands-on experience with surgical, wholesale, and semi-wholesale trade channels.
- Well-established trade network among diaper and surgical wholesalers.
- Excellent knowledge of local geography, high-potential districts, and key outlets.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable using mobile-based sales applications and reporting tools.
- Self-driven, target-focused, and passionate about building teams and brands.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess all relevant documents (ID proof, address proof, experience certificates).
- Two-wheeler ownership preferred for local travel.
