Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager project sales is responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned territory by developing business opportunities in infrastructure, construction, industrial, EPC, government, and project-based sectors. The role involves customer acquisition, project tracking, relationship management, and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve regional sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in infrastructure, construction, industrial, and manufacturing projects.
- Generate enquiries and convert them into profitable business.
- Promote MSAFE's Aluminium Scaffolding, Formwork, Ladders, and Work-at-Height Solutions.
Project Sales Management
- Track upcoming and ongoing projects in the assigned region.
- Build relationships with contractors, builders, consultants, architects, project managers, and end users.
- Develop project sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations and commercial proposals.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular customer meetings and project site visits.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Team Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate the regional sales team.
- Monitor team performance and provide necessary support to achieve targets.
- Conduct regular reviews and training sessions for team members.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Identify new market opportunities and business prospects.
- Share market insights and business opportunities with management.
Collections & Account Management
- Ensure timely payment collections and control outstanding receivables.
- Maintain healthy customer accounts and credit discipline.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth order execution.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit sales forecasts, sales reports, and business plans.
- Maintain project pipeline and customer database in CRM/ERP.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market developments.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or MBA (Sales/Marketing).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Sales, Infrastructure Sales, Industrial Sales, or Construction Sales.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a team handling or managerial role.
- Experience in Scaffolding, Formwork, Construction Equipment, Industrial Products, Building Materials, or related industries will be preferred.
