Job Description – Area Manager

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Role Overview

Policybazaar is seeking an experienced and results-driven Area / Territory Manager to lead and manage field sales operations in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in insurance sales, proven experience in leading field sales teams, and a deep understanding of the local market. This role requires an individual with exceptional leadership, coaching, and relationship management skills who can consistently drive business growth and team performance.

Immediate Joiners Preferred: Candidates who can join within the next 1 to 10 days will be given preference. Only immediate joiners will be considered for this opportunity.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience in insurance sales.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in leading and managing field sales teams.
  • Mandatory proficiency in Gujarati (spoken and written).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field sales executives to achieve organizational sales objectives.
  • Drive team performance to consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, training programs, and performance reviews to enhance team productivity and capability.
  • Oversee field sales operations and ensure effective implementation of sales strategies and business initiatives.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze business metrics, and implement corrective measures to improve productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Mandatory fluency in Gujarati, with a strong understanding of the Ahmedabad and Gujarat market.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a field-based sales environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sustainable business growth and consistently deliver results.
