Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Department: Sales / Business Development

Reports To: Senior Manager

Location: Indore (Field-based territory)

Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by leading and managing Medical Representatives, strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies and product promotion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve assigned area sales targets and drive revenue growth

Lead, manage, and monitor the performance of Medical Representatives

Develop strong professional relationships with dermatologists, doctors, chemists, and distributors

Plan territory coverage, field strategies, and promotional campaigns

Conduct regular joint field visits for coaching and performance improvement

Ensure effective product detailing and brand positioning

Monitor product availability and distribution channels

Analyze sales data and prepare periodic performance reports

Collect market intelligence and competitor insights

Support new product launches and marketing initiatives

Train, motivate, and discipline the sales team

Ensure adherence to company policies and reporting standards

Organize dermatologist CMEs, skin care workshops

Participate in beauty expos, pharmacy mela

Support product launch camps

Eligibility & Experience:

Graduate (science/pharmacy preferred)

36 years of pharmaceutical sales experience

Prior team handling experience preferred

Experience in dermatology/skin care segment is an advantage

Skills Required:

Strong leadership and team management skills

Sales planning and execution ability

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Analytical and problem-solving capability

Territory management and reporting discipline

Proficiency in mobile applications is required.
