Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirupati, responsible for driving sales growth and market development for Oswin Ply products in the assigned territory. The role involves meeting and developing relationships with architects, interior designers, carpenters, dealers, and distributors, and regularly visiting project sites and retail outlets to promote products and understand customer requirements. The Area Sales Manager will plan and execute sales strategies, achieve revenue and volume targets, monitor competitor activity, and provide periodic sales reports and market insights to management. Daily activities include order follow-up, ensuring timely deliveries and collections, coordinating closely with internal teams, conducting product presentations, and supporting branding and promotional initiatives in the region. The role also requires maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects, addressing customer concerns promptly, and representing the company professionally in the local market.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in field sales or business development, preferably in building materials, wood panels, interiors, or related industries.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage architects, interior designers, carpenters, dealers, and contractors.
  • Ability to plan and execute territory sales strategies, manage targets, and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with clarity in explaining product features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Comfortable with regular on-site visits, travel within the assigned area, and working independently to meet sales goals.
  • Basic proficiency in using mobile and computer tools for reporting, documentation, and communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Integrity, customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to long-term relationship management and brand representation.
