About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Area Sales Manager to drive business growth across Patna and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in diagnostic sales, strong relationships with doctors and hospitals, and a successful track record of achieving revenue targets through referral network development.

This role is focused on expanding the laboratory's market presence, increasing test volumes, and building long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and institutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development

  • Generate business through doctors, physicians, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare institutions.
  • Develop and strengthen referral networks to increase diagnostic test volumes.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the assigned territory.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Doctor & Hospital Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Doctors and Specialists
    • Hospitals and Nursing Homes
    • Clinics and Healthcare Centers
    • Healthcare Decision Makers
  • Conduct regular visits and engagement activities to enhance business relationships.
  • Promote diagnostic services, health packages, and new test offerings.
Market Expansion

  • Map potential territories and identify growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Develop strategies to increase market penetration and brand visibility.

Team Management (If Applicable)

  • Lead and guide field sales executives.
  • Monitor team productivity and target achievement.
  • Provide coaching and field support to improve performance.

Coordination & Client Service

  • Coordinate with laboratory operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure timely report delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve client concerns and maintain service quality standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue achievement against monthly targets.
  • Increase in diagnostic test volumes.
  • Number of new doctors, hospitals, and referral partners onboarded.
  • Client retention and repeat business generation.
  • Territory growth and market coverage.
  • Team performance and productivity (if handling a team).

Required Skills & CompetenciesMust-Have

  • Proven experience in Diagnostics Sales.
  • Strong network of doctors, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to consistently achieve sales targets.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of pathology, laboratory services, and healthcare diagnostics.
  • Experience in territory management and business expansion.
  • Team handling experience.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in Diagnostic Laboratory Sales (Mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of the Patna healthcare market.
  • Existing relationships with doctors, clinics, and hospitals in Bihar preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
