The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will lead our sales efforts in the assigned territory. The ASM will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, executing brand-building initiatives, and supporting frontline sales operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in managing channel-based sales networks.
1. Sales & Business Development - Achieve assigned sales targets (primary & secondary) for the region across all product categories automotive, industrial, and inverter batteries.
2. Channel Management & Expansion - Plan and execute channel expansion strategies including appointment of new dealers/distributors where necessary.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking : Regularly monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
4.People Management & Team Development : Lead, coach, and manage a team of Area Sales Executives / Territory Sales In-charges. Monitor individual

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team management skills.
Good understanding of channel dynamics and digital sales tools.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory

Experience:
6+ years of experience in sales and channel management, preferably in the battery manufacturing or related industries, developing and implementing strategies for business growth, managing teams, and achieving revenue targets.
