Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee and expand our sales
operations across Chandigarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving secondary and
primary sales, managing a team of sales officers, maintaining strong relationships with
distributors and retailers, and achieving revenue and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
o Develop and execute territory-wise sales plans to meet company targets.
o Monitor performance metrics and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly,
and annual sales goals.
Team Management:
o Lead, train, and motivate a team of Sales Officers and Territory Sales Executives.
o Monitor field activities and conduct regular team reviews.
Channel & Distribution Management:
o Appoint, manage, and nurture distributor relationships.
o Ensure optimal stock availability, order fulfillment, and billing processes.
Market Development:
o Expand retail penetration and improve numeric and weighted distribution.
o Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Reporting & MIS:
o Maintain sales reports, track KPIs, and provide insights to leadership.
o Use data to forecast demand and make territory-level decisions.
Key Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
(MBA preferred).
Experience: 58 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a similar
ASM role.
Location Familiarity: Strong knowledge of Chandigarh geography, retail landscape, and
languages.
Skills:
o Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
o Fluency in English and Kannada; additional South Indian languages a plus.
o Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/Salesforce systems is a bonus.
o Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Experience in launching new products and opening new markets.
Demonstrated ability to handle a multi-channel distribution setup.
