Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Sales Manager (Life Sciences) based in Mumbai. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building relationships with clients in the scientific and healthcare sectors, and achieving sales targets. The role involves conducting product presentations, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and providing customer support. Collaboration with technical teams and staying updated on advancements in Biotechnology and Life Sciences technologies will be key responsibilities. The Area Sales Manager will also represent MEDISPEC in industry events and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in Sales, Business Development, and Account Management, preferably in the Life Sciences or Biotechnology industry
  • Strong understanding of scientific equipment, including Imaging & Microscopy, Flow Cytometers, Gel Documentation Systems, and related laboratory technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience in coordinating with technical and application support teams to address customer needs
  • Knowledge of market trends, industry developments, and competitor products in Biotechnology and Life Sciences
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field. A background in scientific research or technical applications is a plus
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required
