Role Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for handling sales operations, dealer/distributor management, market expansion, retail growth, and revenue generation for the Lucknow region. The ideal candidate should possess strong channel sales experience in mattresses, furniture, consumer durables, home furnishing, or related industries.

The candidate must be capable of developing strategic sales plans, increasing market penetration, managing distributor relationships, and achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to increase market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, dealers, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Expand market presence in key hubs and emerging markets across Lucknow and surrounding districts.

Dealer & Distributor Management

  • Appoint and manage dealers/distributors in assigned territories.
  • Build strong relationships with channel partners and retailers.
  • Ensure proper stock availability and healthy inventory movement.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits and business reviews.
  • Resolve channel partner issues efficiently.

Market Expansion

  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Develop strategies for product placement and brand visibility.
  • Coordinate branding and promotional activities with marketing teams.
  • Increase product visibility in retail showrooms and franchise outlets.

Team Coordination

  • Coordinate with sales executives, promoters, and support teams.
  • Guide retail sales staff regarding product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Ensure proper implementation of company policies and sales processes.

Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain accurate sales reports and forecasting.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Monitor payment collections and outstanding dues from channel partners.
