Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Reatil Sales

Location: Mumbai

Department: Sales & Marketing – Kerovit by Kajaria

Reporting To: Regional Sales Head

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and market share across the Mumbai region through effective territory and channel management.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve primary and secondary sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key trade partners.
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion and appoint new channel partners to enhance distribution reach.
  • Ensure optimum product availability, visibility, and display standards across retail and dealer outlets.
  • Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels, sales productivity, and market coverage to drive business growth.
  • Conduct regular market visits to review sales performance, gather customer insights, and assess competitive activities.
  • Work closely with distributors and dealers to implement promotional campaigns, trade schemes, and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure timely collections and adherence to company credit policies while maintaining healthy channel relationships.
  • Analyze sales trends, market opportunities, and business performance to develop action plans for achieving targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Kerovit at dealer meets, trade events, exhibitions, and industry forums to strengthen brand presence and channel engagement.

Key Requirements

Experience

  • 4–8 years of experience in Sales, Channel Sales, Trade Sales, or Territory Management, preferably in bathware, sanitary ware, tiles, building materials, paints, hardware, or allied industries.

Market Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the Mumbai market with established relationships across distributors, dealers, and retail channels.

Education

  • MBA preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong channel management and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market expansion.
