Role OverviewThe Area Sales Manager (ASM) will play akey leadership rolein setting up and scaling the Gujarat market. The role involvesdriving regional sales growth,building distribution channels,managing the sales team, and establishing Flouris Publication as areliable publishing partner for schools.
This position is strictly for candidates withprior book publication sales experienceand deep familiarity withschool-driven sales cycles.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Growth- Achievemonthly, quarterly, and annual sales targetsfor the Gujarat region
- Drivenew school adoptionsand strengthen repeat business
- Plan and executeacademic-yearbased sales strategies
Channel & Relationship Management- Build strong working relationships with:
- School owners and principals
- Distributors, dealers, and stockists
- Appoint and developregional distribution networks
- Monitor collections and credit cycles effectively
Team Leadership- Recruit, train, and manageSales Executives / Territory Sales Officers
- Set daily field activity goals (school visits, demos, follow-ups)
- Conduct regular performance reviews and field mentoring
Market Intelligence- Track competitor titles, pricing, and discount structures
- Identify high-potential territories and institutional opportunities
- Share actionable market insights with management
Reporting & Process Compliance- Submit accuratesales forecasts and performance reports
- Ensure proper order booking, CRM usage, and dispatch coordination
- Maintain ethical and transparent sales practices
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory)- Minimum 5 years of experienceinBook Publication / Educational Publishing Sales
- Proven exposure toK12 school sellingand distributor handling
- Strong regional market understanding (Gujarat preferred)
- Prior team-handling experience is an added advantage
