Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to join our team in the healthcare technology and hospital infrastructure domain. The role involves driving business development, project sales, customer engagement, and market expansion across hospitals, healthcare institutions, medical colleges, and healthcare project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess strong solution-selling capabilities, experience in project-based sales, and the ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers. A good understanding of IT-enabled healthcare solutions, networking concepts, system integration, and digital technologies will be highly advantageous, as many solutions involve interaction with hospital IT infrastructure, software platforms, connected medical systems, and workflow automation technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across hospitals, healthcare groups, medical colleges, and specialty healthcare facilities
• Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive customer engagement and market development activities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital management, biomedical teams, engineering departments, IT teams, consultants, architects, PMCs, and procurement teams
• Track upcoming healthcare projects and identify opportunities from planning, design, tendering, and execution stages
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions
• Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teams and principals
• Review project specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and customer requirements
• Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with customers
• Coordinate with internal sales, application, service, and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
• Maintain CRM records, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and sales reporting
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the healthcare sector
• Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and industry events when required
• Achieve assigned sales targets, business objectives, and territory growth plans
• Follow company processes, reporting structures, and business development strategies
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, IT, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 5–12 years of experience in healthcare sales, project sales, solution sales, infrastructure sales, healthcare technology, healthcare IT, automation solutions, medical devices, or related industries
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities
• Experience handling large-value projects and consultative sales processes
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
• Good commercial understanding and negotiation capabilities
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and project development activities
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in project-driven sales environments
• Understanding of hospital infrastructure, healthcare technology, healthcare projects, or capital equipment sales
• Understanding of networking, IT infrastructure, system integration, and connected technology solutions
• Ability to engage with hospital IT teams, biomedical engineering departments, consultants, architects, PMCs, and hospital management
• Familiarity with software-driven, integrated, network-based, or digital healthcare solutions will be an advantage
• Proposal preparation and tender management experience
• CRM management and sales forecasting knowledge
• Strong business development and networking capabilities
• MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting proficiency
• Strategic account management skills
• Understanding of solution architecture, interoperability, workflow automation, and integrated technology platforms will be an added advantage
