. Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve assigned sales targets and objectives within the government business segment.
. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with government healthcare institutions, ministries, public sector undertakings, and other relevant government bodies.
. Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, administrative personnel, and clinicians within the government sector.
. Lead the entire sales process from initial contact, needs assessment, solution presentation, negotiation, contract finalization, and post-sales support.
. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and tender responses that effectively communicate the value proposition of BD's products and services.
. Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and government policies relevant to the healthcare sector to identify new opportunities and challenges.
. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical support, regulatory, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless customer experience and product delivery.
. Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to senior management.
. Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical guidelines, and government regulations.
. Participate in relevant industry conferences, exhibitions, and government events to promote BD's brand and offerings.
. Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals (if applicable) within the government segment.

Job Qualifications:..
. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
. Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on selling medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare solutions to the Indian government sector.
. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a complex B2G (Business-to-Government) environment.
. In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, tender systems, and regulatory frameworks in the Indian healthcare landscape.
. Strong network and established relationships with key stakeholders within government healthcare bodies.
. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
. Strong ethical conduct and commitment to compliance.
