Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive retail sales performance across assigned territories in Pune. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening distributor and retailer relationships, and ensuring effective execution of company strategies at the ground level.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales across assigned retail areas in Pune
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts
- Monitor secondary sales, stock availability, and market coverage
- Implement sales promotions, schemes, and merchandising standards
- Train, guide, and monitor Sales Officers and field staff
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior
- Ensure timely reporting of sales performance and market feedback
- Control expenses and improve ROI within the assigned area
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Retail Sales
- Maximum 2 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager
- Strong exposure to distributor management and retail network expansion
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Good understanding of the Pune retail market
- Proficient in MS Excel and sales reporting tools
Education
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred)
