Area Sales Manager Fresh Dairy Products

Scope of Business:

·       Drive sales growth and achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned area.

·       Manage and develop distributor network to ensure optimum market coverage and product availability.

·       Lead, coach, and monitor Sales Executives to improve productivity and market execution.

·       Ensure effective implementation of sales strategies, trade schemes, promotions, and new product launches.

·       Track market share, competitor activities, pricing, and distribution opportunities within the assigned area.

·       Monitor stock availability, freshness, product rotation, and minimize expiries/returns across the distribution chain.

·       Expand retail reach by increasing numeric and weighted distribution.

·       Conduct regular market visits to review team performance, distributor operations, and customer engagement.

·       Drive collection efficiency and ensure adherence to commercial policies.

·       Coordinate with Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless business operations.

·       Prepare and review sales forecasts, distributor inventory plans, and business performance reports.

·       Build strong relationships with distributors, key retailers, and local market stakeholders.

Profile expected:

·       5 to 10 years of experience in Dairy/FMCG sales, with minimum 2 to 3 years in a people management role.

·       Strong expertise in Fresh Dairy Products sales, distributor management, and market execution.

·       Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team while consistently achieving business targets.

·       Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills with customers and channel partners.

·       Result-oriented professional with good business acumen and exposure to handling large sales territories.
